Multi-Ply Twisted Ropes (Made from Wicking)

TaoFibre® Multi-Ply Twisted Ropes are produced by twisting multiple plies of ceramic fiber wicking together to create flexible, resilient insulation materials.

• 3-Ply Twisted Rope – Soft, low-density, and the most economical option for general insulation or gasketing.
• HD 9-Ply Twisted Rope – Denser and stronger, offering up to 50% more compression resistance than the standard 3-ply version, making it suitable for applications requiring higher mechanical strength and durability.
  Both versions can be covered with Inconel wire mesh, which significantly enhances resistance to mechanical wear and abrasion in demanding environments.

3-Ply Twisted Ropes (Made from Yarns)

These ropes are manufactured by forming multiple strands of ceramic fiber yarn into three separate plies, which are then twisted together to form a stronger, denser rope than the wicking-based version. TaoFibre® 3-Ply Twisted Yarns offer improved flexibility, greater tensile strength, and longer service life, making them ideal for higher-stress sealing and packing applications.

Round and Square Braids

TaoFibre® Round and Square Braided Ropes are the densest and most durable of all our ceramic fiber ropes. Produced by over-braiding around a ceramic fiber core, these ropes deliver maximum resistance to mechanical abuse while maintaining superior flexibility. The braided construction minimizes unraveling when cut and ensures a tight, reliable seal under thermal cycling conditions.
These ropes are widely used for door seals, furnace linings, expansion joints, and high-temperature gasketing where durability and dimensional stability are critical.
