Tadpole Tape

Description

Tadpole tape is manufactured from plain fiberglass or ceramic fiber cloth formed over core material of fiberglass or ceramic fiber rope (inconel core also available) and stitched to provide the characteristic tail structure. A soft, resilient gasketing material for effective sealing on light metal flanges and where limited bolting force is available on light metal flanges and where limited bolting force is available and where doors and other closures rest on the bulb of the packing. Dry stitched tadpole tapes maintain their efficiency throughout prolonged service in high temperature applications up to 2300F
